The Dito Telecommunity Corporation (simply called DITO) is currently known as the Third Telco in the Philippines. It was the winner of the government bidding that allows the entry of the new telco player in the country, challenging the two dominant players - the PLDT and Globe duopoly.
It is a consortium of Davao businessman Dennis Uy's Udenna Corporation and its subsidiary Chelsea Logistics Corporation, and Chinese state-owned China Telecommunications Corporation, a parent company of China Telecom.
The company was formerly known as the Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, Inc. or Mislatel,
They began the commercial operation as the third telco on March 8, 2021 in Cebu City and Davao City. The company has offered a welcome promo offering unlimited data, DITO calls, and DITO-to-DITO texts for new subscribers from March 8 to March 31 for only P199.
Since then, the company has been expanding its network coverage in the entire Philippines.
As of May 17, 2021, the Dito service is currently available in 15 out of 81 provinces: 10 in Luzon, one in the Visayas, and four in Mindanao.

Not all phones can experience the DITO service. DITO uses next-gen VoLTE technology to deliver its service, so only the phone with the said technology capability is the compatible one.
As for the promo, the company is offering welcome offers of 25GB data, plus calls and text to other networks for 30 days for a Php 199 ONLY.
The Dito Telecommunity SIM can now be purchased at the official stores in Shopee and Lazada, and in some authorized physical stores within the covered areas.
