There's a common misconception that the term Wi-Fi is short for "wireless fidelity," It is NOT. Wi-Fi is a trademarked phrase that refers to IEEE 802.11x standards.
Just like any other technology, Wi-Fi is full of limitations. One of its limitations is the range of signal coverage. The Wi-Fi router that operates in the 2.4 GHz band can reach up to 150 feet indoors, and 300 feet outdoors. Unfortunately, the older version which operates on 5GHz can only reach a distance of about one-third of the latest one.
In this case, someone would need this device if he/she decides to extend the Wi-Fi range. I am referring to Wi-Fi Range Extender or Wifi Repeater. There are many available Wi-Fi extenders in the market right now, but I highly recommend the TP Link Wi-Fi Range Extender. It is available at TP Link Philippines' official store in Shopee Philippines. It is currently priced at Php 1,538., and with a one-year local warranty.
